Job summary

Adelphi Locums seeks a Gastroenterologist (MD/DO) for Lakewood, CO, to provide locum tenens coverage in an inpatient setting with 24-hour call. The role includes ERCP and EUS procedures, GI bleed management, and collaboration with intensivists and trauma services in a Level 1 center.

Board-certified Gastroenterology physicians with active CO license and DEA are preferred; lodging and travel are typically arranged by Adelphi Locums.

Qualifications

• Board Certified in Gastroenterology
• Active CO License (Highly Preferred) or Universal License (IMLC)
• Active DEA Certification
• Board Certified in Gastroenterology
• Gastroenterology Fellowship
• ERCP & EUS proficiency, Availability for specified dates, Lodging and EMR training requirements, Local/drive-in preferred, Clean malpractice/background

Responsibilities

• Perform endoscopic procedures including ERCP, EUS, and endoscopy for diagnosis and treatment of GI conditions.
• Manage and evaluate patients with GI bleeding and other acute gastrointestinal problems.
• Provide consultative services for adult, geriatric, and adolescent patients in an inpatient setting.
• Cover 24-hour call shifts (7a-7a) ensuring continuous gastroenterology coverage including weekends.
• Collaborate with 24/7 intensivists, hospitalists, and trauma services in a Level 1 Trauma center.
