Job summary

IMP Locum Tenens, LLC is seeking a gastroenterologist for locum tenens coverage in Lakewood, CO. This inpatient role requires endoscopic procedures, ERCP and EUS, with 24-hour call coverage and collaboration with hospital intensivists and trauma services at a Level 1 Trauma center.

Coverage is temporary with potential ongoing dates starting Sep 06, 2026, for 1–2 weeks or longer as needed. Privileges are required and emergency privileging may apply; EPIC is used for patient records.

Responsibilities

• Perform endoscopic procedures including ERCP, EUS, and endoscopy for diagnosis and treatment of GI conditions
• Manage and evaluate patients with GI bleeding and other acute gastrointestinal problems
• Provide consultative services for adult, geriatric, and adolescent patients in an inpatient setting
• Cover 24-hour call shifts (7a-7a) ensuring continuous gastroenterology coverage including weekends
• Collaborate with 24/7 intensivists, hospitalists, and trauma services in a Level 1 Trauma center
