USA Health Providence Hospital in Mobile, Alabama, seeks a board certified or board eligible Gastroenterologist to join a growing inpatient GI program. This role focuses on inpatient consultations, procedures, and hospital-based patient care with seven-day coverage and APP support.

The position emphasizes strong procedural volume, collaboration with hospitalists and surgeons, and a comprehensive benefits package within a competitive compensation structure.

Formación

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency program.
• Completion of an accredited Gastroenterology fellowship program.
• Board certified or board eligible in Gastroenterology.
• Eligible for an unrestricted Alabama medical license.
• Eligible for medical staff privileges at USA Health Providence Hospital.
• Proficient in inpatient gastroenterology and endoscopic procedures.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaborative skills.
• Commitment to delivering high quality, patient centered care.

Responsabilidades

• Provide comprehensive inpatient gastroenterology consultation and management for hospitalized patients.
• Evaluate new consultations from the emergency department and inpatient services.
• Conduct daily rounds and manage established gastroenterology patients with APP support.
• Perform indicated inpatient diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures.
• Provide continuous gastroenterology coverage and consultation availability during seven day service periods.
• Collaborate with hospitalists, surgeons, emergency medicine physicians, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Support timely access to gastroenterology consultations and procedures.
• Participate in quality improvement and growth of the inpatient GI program.
