Job summary

Springfield Clinic is seeking a BE/BC Gastroenterology Hospitalist to join its Gastroenterology team in central Illinois. The role involves inpatient GI care across two nearby hospitals with dedicated endoscopy units and robust APP support.

Desirable candidates will be board-certified/board-eligible in GI, with inpatient experience and strong teamwork. Competitive benefits and a sign-on/relocation package are offered.

Qualifications

• Board-eligible or board-certified in Gastroenterology.
• Experience in inpatient GI care is preferred.
• Strong communication and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient gastroenterology services at two hospitals located within a mile of each other.
• Collaborate with the hospital medicine team and APPs to manage admissions and discharges.
• Support endoscopy units; ERCP/EUS experience preferred but not required.
• Participate in 182 shifts annually with a 7-on-7-off or 14-on-14-off schedule options.

Practice Highlights:

• 2 year Partnership Track
• Join a team of 10 outpatient GI Physicians and 11 APPs
• 7-on-7-off or 14-on-14-off schedule options,
• Exclusively inpatient, Monday-Sunday, 24-hour coverage, in-house from 7a-7pm
• 182 Shift Annually
• Physician will provide clinical services to 2 hospitals located within 1 mile of one another -
• Admissions & Discharges managed by robust Hospital Medicine team
• Dedicated endoscopy units for procedures
• APP support every day, including weekends and holidays
• ERCP and EUS experience preferred but not required
• Collaborative, collegial environment
• Large referral base of Springfield Clinic providers and community providers.
