Qualifications

• MD degree required.
• Residency and fellowship training in Gastroenterology or Hepatology.
• Texas medical license to practice medicine in TX; board certification/eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Participate in inpatient consult service at Baylor St. Luke’s-The Vintage.
• Develop a treatment plan for patients.
• Meet productivity benchmarks.
• Participate in routine clinical meetings with the work group.
• Maintain required certifications and licensing.
• Become familiar with EMR and document patient encounters.
• Complete all documentation in a timely manner.
• Orders for diagnostic services and referrals to specialists.
• Be an active member of a clinical group practice; participate in Grand Rounds, monthly faculty meetings & retreats.
• Share call responsibilities and provide care when others are unavailable.
• Meet or exceed all quality indicators.
• Maintain professionalism with students, faculty, staff.
• Complete professional billing and credentialing paperwork ahead of expiration.
