Job summary

Baylor College of Medicine seeks a Hospitalist (Assistant Professor) to provide inpatient care at CHI St. Luke's The Vintage Hospital in Houston. The ideal candidate will be patient‑centered and committed to excellence in inpatient care.

Responsibilities include supervising residents and learners, coordinating discharge plans, developing order sets, and engaging in quality improvement and research. Licensure with the Texas Medical Board is required; MD or DO degree and board

MD or DO degree required.
Board certified or board eligible.
Licensed by the Texas Medical Board.

Responsibilities

Provide direct inpatient care on a 7 on / 7 off block schedule.
Supervise residents, medical students, and other learners as needed.
Coordinate with outpatient care teams for safe discharge.
Participate in team meetings and develop order sets/procedures.
Contribute to quality improvement and research projects; collaborate nationally.
Renew licenses and certifications as required.
Familiarize with EPIC EMR and document encounters.
Complete all documentation timely to support billing and operations.
