Loyola University Health System and Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine invite applications for a full-time clinical practice gastroenterologist to join our nationally ranked Digestive Health program.
The ideal candidate should have excellent skills in general gastroenterology and may have a focused clinical interest and expertise in areas such as quality improvement, education, allergic diseases of the GI tract, genetic risk for GI cancers, esophageal disease, small bowel disorders, and GI motility disorders. The candidate should be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Gastroenterology and possess an Illinois medical license at the time of appointment. A commitment to teaching and mentoring, along with academic productivity, is essential. The preferred candidate will hold the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor and be a full-time member of the Division in the Department of Medicine.
Loyola University Medical Center maintains a close partnership with Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital, located immediately east of Hines' campus. Many faculty members hold joint appointments at Hines, and Loyola students and residents rotate through Hines as part of their training. Loyola and Hines researchers collaborate on many federally funded studies.
