Job summary

Medicus Healthcare Solutions has partnered with a medical center in Des Moines, Iowa, for a Gastroenterologist contract assignment. Schedule is 7a–3:30p on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with no call or weekends. Expect 10–12 cases per day, including colonoscopy and EGD procedures with biopsies, snare removals, ablations, variceal banding and bleeding control.

Active, unrestricted U.S. medical license accepted; CPRS EMR experience required. DEA and BLS/ACLS are required.

Qualifications

• Board-certified gastroenterologist with an active U.S. medical license.
• DEA registration required.
• BLS/ACLS certification preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluations, follow-ups, consults and procedures.
• Perform colonoscopy and EGD procedures including biopsies, polypectomies, snare removals and bleeding control.
