Job summary

The University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN, is inviting applications for a full-time non-tenure Assistant Professor in Medicine Gastroenterology. The role is 90% patient care with training gastroenterology fellows and 10% teaching and research.

The successful candidate will teach medical students, residents, and fellows, hold clinic sessions, and participate in inpatient attending duties. Research activity and translation research may be pursued to improve patient care.

Qualifications

• EDUCATION: M.D. Degree.
• LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Board-certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. Active or eligibility to obtain a Tennessee Medical License.

Responsibilities

• Teach medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Hold clinic sessions and for inpatient attending duties at clinical practice sites.
• Participate in departmental academic activities and divisional/departmental meetings. This position will also work on clinical research and translation research, and research data can be applied to patient care.
