Job summary

Florida Digestive Health Specialists seeks an experienced APRN to join our growing gastroenterology team in a full-time outpatient role in Port Charlotte, FL. You will work closely with gastroenterologists to evaluate, diagnose, and manage GI conditions while delivering compassionate, evidence-based care.

The APRN will educate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and participate in continuous professional development within a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Active license in good standing with the state of Florida.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience.
• General Medicine or GI training preferred; mentorship provided.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in EMR documentation and time management.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and patient privacy requirements.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local travel.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outpatient gastroenterology care, including assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Collaborate with supervising physicians and clinical team to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Educate patients on GI health, disease prevention and treatment options.
• Perform physical examinations and interpret diagnostic studies related to GI conditions.
• Document encounters accurately in the EMR.
• Maintain infection control and safety standards.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and quality improvement initiatives.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
