Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Maine, is seeking a Board‑Certified or Board‑Eligible Gastroenterologist to join its Digestive Health program. This hospital-based role offers opportunities for comprehensive gastroenterology care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

The position emphasizes collaboration with hospitalists, surgeons, oncology, radiology, and primary care teams, quality initiatives, and strong EMR documentation.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of Internal Medicine residency.
• Completion of Gastroenterology fellowship.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
• Eligible for or active Maine medical license.
• DEA registration.

Responsabilités

• Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology care.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures (EGD, colonoscopy, biopsy, polypectomy, hemostasis, dilation, PEG).
• Diagnose and manage GI conditions including IBD, GERD, liver disease, hepatitis, pancreatic disorders, GI bleeding.
• Participate in a shared call schedule.
