Responsibilities

• Rigorous, efficient and collaborative GI assessments of hospitalized patients.
• Engage the healthcare team—nursing, trainees, case management, family—with up-to-date recommendations for diagnostic testing and treatment.
• Encourage health promotion, disease prevention and health maintenance, while advocating for patients and aiming for stability and timely discharge.
• Serve as teaching faculty for GI/Hepatology Fellowship and Internal Medicine Residency programs.
• Participate in quality assurance projects and lectures/presentations.
• Participate in Peer Review process.
