Thomas Jefferson University/Hospitals is currently seeking candidates to expand our outstanding Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology.

BC/BE General Gastroenterologist

Job Description

Jefferson is a large tertiary care academic medical center and a part of the 18-hospital Jefferson Health System. Thomas Jefferson University Hospital Gastroenterology is ranked 25th in the nation by U.S. News and World Report. Jefferson Gastroenterology is a forward-thinking, well-published division that includes 40 physicians, many with national reputations, and 8 APPs. In the spring of 2024, the Division will move into a new state-of-the-art ambulatory building, occupying two floors: one for clinical services and one for our new outpatient Endoscopy Unit. The Pancreaticobiliary and Advanced Endoscopy Section has a robust inpatient service, performs nearly 5,000 advanced procedures annually, and hosts an Advanced Fellowship Program.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Patient-centric evaluation, management, and care
  2. Ability to perform and teach advanced procedures
  3. Work collaboratively as part of a team, including shared patient management
  4. Effective communication with all members of the academic and healthcare team
