Job summary

Aspire Talent Solutions seeks a board-certified Gastroenterologist to join a 155-bed community teaching hospital in Southwest Georgia. The role combines outpatient clinic work with inpatient endoscopy in a collaborative team with surgeons and mid-levels.

Office hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with on-call duties 7 days per month. Competitive compensation includes a guaranteed salary, 3% COLA, and a shared profits model, plus relocation and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Gastroenterology with ERCP skills required.
• Fellowship completed or nearing completion in Gastroenterology; EUS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Balance clinic and hospital duties with outpatient and inpatient endoscopy.
• Perform ERCPs and manage related procedures.
• On-call duties seven days per month, with extra pay for additional calls.
• Precept medical students and residents.

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Gastroenterologist to become an integral part of our thriving medical team in Southwest Georgia. Our facility, a 155-bed community-based teaching hospital, offers a dynamic environment with collaborative support from fellow gastroenterologists, general surgeons, and mid-level practitioners. This full-time opportunity promises a balanced schedule between clinic and hospital duties, providing a comprehensive medical practice experience.

Position Highlights:

• Flexible Schedule: Work Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. Weekly responsibilities are equally divided between outpatient clinic and inpatient endoscopy procedures.
• On-Call Duties: Participate in on-call duties for 7 days per month, shared with general surgeons and fellow gastroenterologists. Extra pay is available for additional call duties.
• Patient Interaction: Engage with around 25 patients per day in the clinic and manage 10 consults/15 procedures per day in the hospital.
• Educational Engagement: Opportunity to precept medical students and residents, enhancing the educational environment of our facility.

Qualifications:

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Gastroenterology with ERCP skills required, EUS preferred.
• Completion or near completion of a gastroenterology fellowship.
• Possess or be eligible for a Georgia Medical License or participate in the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact.

Diagnostic Services and Procedures:

• Colonoscopy, Upper Endoscopy, Capsule Endoscopy, ERCP, Bravo 48-Hour pH Monitor, and more.
• Address conditions such as GERD, Hepatitis B/C, Chronic Constipation, Liver Disease, and Inflammatory Bowel Disease.
