Job summary

Markent Personnel seeks a dedicated Gastroenterologist to join a community hospital team in Southwest Georgia. The role balances clinic and hospital responsibilities, with ERCPs required and EUS preferred.

The successful candidate will participate in medical student and resident education within a supportive, teaching-focused environment. The position offers a competitive salary with COLA and a profit-sharing component, a weekday schedule (8 am–5 pm), and on-call coverage seven days per month.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Gastroenterology with ERCP skills; EUS preferred.
• Completion or near completion of a gastroenterology fellowship.
• Possess or be eligible for a Georgia Medical License or participate in the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact.

Responsibilities

• Balance clinic and hospital duties in a dynamic, teaching-hospital setting.
• Perform ERCPs and endoscopy procedures; manage both outpatient and inpatient care.
• See around 25 patients daily in clinic and 10 consults / 15 procedures daily in the hospital.
• Precept medical students and residents to support clinical education.
