Virginia Mason Franciscan Health in Tacoma, WA is seeking a Gastroenterology Physician to join a dynamic medical group. You will provide expert GI care, lead patient assessments, and develop individualized treatment plans with a multidisciplinary team to improve quality and patient experience.

You will diagnose and manage complex GI conditions, collaborate with colleagues, and stay current with best practices.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible gastroenterologist with WA license eligibility.
• WA medical license or eligibility to practice in WA.

Responsibilities

Every day you will provide compassionate and expert care, conducting thorough assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support the holistic well-being of patients and their families within Franciscan Medical Group.

To be successful in this role, you will be a skilled, licensed, and compassionate physician, possessing expertise in diagnosing and managing complex diseases, alongside strong communication abilities. You will also demonstrate a deep commitment to patient-centered care and the capacity to thrive within a collegial and supportive environment.

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with families and interdisciplinary teams
• Offer guidance and support to patients and families regarding educational resources and community services
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure a coordinated approach to care
• Stay current with research and best practices in urgent care to provide evidence-based care
• The schedule is a 4-day work week, 7:00a - 5:00p
• Compensation is $594,462 - $731,545 /year

We are offering a guaranteed salary (12 months), a starting bonus and relocation assistance. Retirement plans include both 401(k) and 457(b).

Job Requirements

• BC/BE in gastroenterology
• Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of Washington
• Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority needed for the specific practice
• Strong clinical skills and experience diagnosing GI type issues
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to all patients and families
