Helix Workforce Solutions seeks a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Gastroenterologist to provide comprehensive outpatient gastroenterology care at Okeechobee Gastro Clinic in Okeechobee, Florida.

This independent contractor opportunity leads the established practice, performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and coordinating with healthcare providers to support patient access and care continuity.

Qualifications

• Experience with or understanding of office-based endoscopy operations and applicable accreditation standards.
• Willingness and ability to complete expedited payer credentialing.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient gastroenterology care including evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of GI conditions.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy (colonoscopy, EGD) in the clinic's endoscopy facility.
• Lead the established practice while maintaining continuity of care for existing patients.
• Coordinate care with primary care physicians, specialists, hospitals, and other providers.
• Maintain timely and complete clinical documentation and comply with coding and payer requirements.
