Job summary

Tampa General Hospital’s Digestive Health Center in Florida seeks a skilled Gastroenterologist for full-time outpatient care. The physician will perform endoscopic and diagnostic procedures, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and provide patient-centered care.

Requirements include MD/DO, GI fellowship, Florida license or eligibility, and 3+ years of experience. Advanced GI training (EUS/ERCP) a plus. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board-certified/board-eligible in Gastroenterology.
• Florida medical license or eligible for licensure.
• DEA license for prescribing medications.
• 3 years of experience in gastroenterology.
• Advanced GI: EUS & ERCP training.
• Familiarity with EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat patients with a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders.
• Perform procedures such as colonoscopies, upper endoscopies (EGD), sigmoidoscopies, polypectomies, and capsule endoscopy.
• Interpret diagnostic tests, including labs, imaging, and endoscopic findings.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients.
• Provide consultation to other physicians and healthcare providers.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
• Educate patients and families on digestive health and treatment options.
• Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with regulations.
• Participate in staff meetings and continuing education; 3 days in clinic, 2 days in procedures.
• Share call with mid-level support 7 days a week.
