Software Placement Group is seeking a Gastroenterologist to join a community-based teaching hospital in Southwest Georgia. The role balances outpatient clinic and hospital endoscopy within a collaborative GI team, offering a comprehensive practice and strong educational environment.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Gastroenterology with ERCP skills required.
• Completion or near completion of a gastroenterology fellowship.
• Georgia Medical License or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide general GI care, including performing ERCPs.
• Work 8 AM–5 PM, mix of outpatient clinic and inpatient endoscopy.
• See ~25 patients per day in clinic; manage 10 consults/15 procedures per day.
• Participate in on-call duties 7 days/month, shared with surgeons and gastroenterologists.
• Perform diagnostic services: Colonoscopy, Upper Endoscopy, Capsule Endoscopy, ERCP, Bravo 48-Hour pH Monitor.
• Treat GERD, hepatitis B/C, constipation, liver disease, IBD.
• Precept medical students and residents.
