Job summary

CompHealth is seeking a Gastroenterologist for a locum tenens assignment in Virginia. The role involves upper and lower GI endoscopy with biopsy, PEG and esophageal dilatation, and management of both inpatient and outpatient cases.

Schedule includes procedures on Monday/Wednesday/Friday and clinic on Tuesday, with night call every night and hospital rounding on consults. Inpatient and outpatient care are required, with ongoing coverage potential.

Qualifications

• GI fellowship training (implied by GI procedures).

• Monday, Wednesday, Friday procedures; Tuesday office patients
• Night call every night with hospital rounding on consults
• 20 - 25 patients per shift
• Upper and lower GI endoscopy with biopsy required
• PEG and esophageal dilatation required
• Both inpatient and outpatient required
• 1 - 2 call consults per 24 hours
• Ongoing coverage potential
• We negotiate better pay and deposit it weekly
