Job summary

North Florida/ South Georgia VA Healthcare System is seeking an experienced Gastroenterologist-Hepatologist to contribute to a growing VA academic hospital program. The role emphasizes leadership, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and commitment to high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• United States Citizenship or eligible for appointment per VA rules.
• Current, full and unrestricted medical license in the United States or equivalent.
• Completion of approved residency in a core GI/hepatology discipline.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient electronic consultation services focused on hepatology.
• Oversee conscious sedation and GI procedures such as EGD and colonoscopies.
• Diagnose and treat GI/hepatic diseases following accepted guidelines.
• Supervise medical students, residents and/or fellows.
• Collaborate with gastroenterology APPs and participate in education programs.
