Job summary

Sterling St James Inc. in Nassau County, Long Island, seeks a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Gastroenterologist to join a well-established, physician-led group.

This outpatient-focused, multidisciplinary practice offers flexible hours, a supportive team, and opportunities for leadership. The role includes performing and interpreting GI procedures, managing IBD and liver disease, and participating in ongoing medical education to maintain high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Must be board-certified or board-eligible in GI with path to certification.
• Active NY licensure or eligible for licensure in NY.
• Strong diagnostic, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Team-oriented with patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality gastroenterology care as a key clinical provider.
• Conduct histories, physicals, and interpret labs/imaging.
• Manage a high-volume GI patient population in a multi-specialty group.
• Diagnose and manage GI disorders including IBD, IBS, liver disease, and biliary diseases.
• Develop individualized treatment plans with pharmacologic and lifestyle approaches.
• Perform colonoscopies and EGDs with accurate EMR documentation.
• Collaborate with colorectal surgeons, oncologists, and PCPs.
• Promote colorectal cancer screening and liver disease management.
• Engage in continuous medical education to improve care.
