The Mission of the division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology is to strengthen the health of our rural community by providing accessible, high-quality digestive care, fostering strong partnerships with local providers, and supporting patients through every stage of diagnosis, treatment, and long‑term management.

Chief Purpose of Position

The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition at VCU is seeking a Board‑Eligible/Board‑Certified Gastroenterologist to join our team at Community Memorial Hospital, located in the scenic and welcoming community of South Hill, VA.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM schedule
• 10 days call coverage per month (evenings & weekends)
• Additional call pay available beyond 10 days
• 2 days clinic, 3 days procedures weekly

Required Qualifications

• Board certified or board eligible in gastroenterology from an accredited training program
• Virginia licensure or ability to obtain
• General gastroenterology position
