Qualifications
- Current licensed NY State registration.
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and diagnose patients with digestive and gastrointestinal diseases and disorders.
- Develop treatment plans and ensure appropriate follow-up care.
- Monitor the progress of patients and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Perform endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopies and sigmoidoscopies.
- Educate patients and family members about the diagnosis and treatment process.
- Keep accurate and detailed patient medical records.
- Maintain patient confidentiality.
- Provide weekend and evening call coverage for gastroenterology at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County.
- Supervise and mentor gastroenterology fellows and medicine residents.
