Job summary

Summa Health in Akron, Ohio is recruiting a Gastroenterologist to join the Digestive Health Institute and help expand a growing program designed to meet rising demand for digestive care. The role supports both general GI and advanced therapeutic endoscopy with strong resources and patient volume.

You will contribute to a comprehensive model with team-based care, APP support, dedicated endoscopy resources, and access to an Ambulatory Surgery Center.

Qualifications

• MD or DO required.
• Completion of an accredited Gastroenterology Fellowship.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
• Interest in collaborative, team-based care.
• Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship training welcomed and encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient gastroenterology clinic.
• Endoscopic procedures.
• Collaboration and supervision of APP team members.
• Participation in program growth initiatives.
• Optional advanced inpatient coverage based on expertise and service needs.
