Kings County is located in the East Flatbush/Prospect-Lefferts section of Brooklyn, close to the 2 and 5 subways. Our patients are diverse, with the majority being Afro-Caribbean. Most of our patients are native English speakers. Knowledge of French/Haitian Creole is helpful, but not required.

The Gastroenterologist will provide inpatient and outpatient Gastrointestinal care. comprehensive medical care to patients with digestive and gastrointestinal diseases and disorders. They will evaluate and diagnose patients, develop treatment plans, and ensure appropriate follow-up care. This role will also monitor the progress of patients and adjust treatment plans as needed.

• Provide weekend and evening call coverage for gastroenterology at New York City Health & Hospitals/Kings County Hospital.
• Supervise and mentor gastroenterology fellows and medicine residents assigned to the gastroenterology and hepatology service.

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $349,000* (Board Eligible) $359,000* (Board Certified) based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.

The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $439,420** (Board Eligible); $449,520** (Board Certified), which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:

• Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $55,520.
• 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
  • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
• Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
