Job summary

HonorHealth is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Gastroenterology-Osborn team in Scottsdale, AZ. The MA will provide front and back office support, escort patients, maintain exam rooms, and ensure accurate records and scheduling under provider supervision.

Responsibilities include assisting with exams, taking vital signs, venipuncture, injections, basic CLIA lab tests, and coordinating insurance authorizations and referrals. Requires MA training and a valid BLS; 6 months experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of an MA training program is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares treatment rooms for examination and escorts patients to exam rooms.
• May travel to off-site locations to perform diagnostic testing and assist in exams.
• May administer injections and TB testing under physician supervision.
• Performs venipuncture and basic office lab tests as directed.
• Handles front office duties: reception, scheduling, and chart maintenance.
• Organizes insurance authorizations and referrals as needed.
