Job summary

Trafigura in Houston seeks a Gasoline Operator to manage day-to-day scheduling and physical execution of gasoline movements across terminals, pipelines, and vessels, aligning with trading positions and contracts.

You will coordinate with traders, operations, risk analysts and carriers to optimize blend economics, manage nominations, and maintain records in Pluto ETRM; strong Excel and English skills required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 to 4 years of scheduling experience in gasoline and/or naphtha in trading/physical trading environments.
• Strong knowledge of clean products logistics, terminal operations, pipeline nominations, and marine/inland transportation.
• Proficiency with Pluto ETRM (or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent English language skills (native or C2).

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate movement of gasoline and components across terminals, pipelines and vessels, aligned with trading positions and contractual obligations.
• Coordinate daily with traders, operations, risk analysts, and counterparties to execute blend economics, nominations, and loading/discharge schedules.
• Monitor inventory at storage terminals to avoid demurrage, off-spec products, or missed deliveries.
• Coordinate with Senior Blenders to meet product specifications in the most economical way.
• Prepare and issue timely instructions to terminals, carriers, and third-party providers.
• Track shipment and delivery documentation for accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Identify and resolve scheduling bottlenecks and operational issues in real time.
• Maintain records in Pluto ETRM and other scheduling systems.
• Support month-end reconciliation and reporting with operations and trading teams.
• Build strong working relationships with terminal operators, carriers, and counterparties.
