Job summary

HGC Industries in Indianapolis, IN is hiring a Set Up Technician to set presses and other machines to manufacture gaskets and other similar products. You will support the operations team by learning all presses in each press bank, ensuring parts are made with 100% accuracy and shipped on time to customers.

The role requires basic math, strong accuracy, teamwork, and the ability to read blueprints. Previous manufacturing experience is a plus, and a high school diploma is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Previous manufacturing experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Tear down and set up new dies for machines with minimal downtime.
• Learn all required functions of presses in the press bank.
• Operate the press at maximum speed while ensuring safety and quality.
• Set up different presses per procedure with minimal downtime.
• Run material through the press to meet quality and yield requirements.
• Monitor quality results and report defects.
• Move gaskets from press neatly to avoid distortion.
• Meet efficiency goals per factory order.
• Separate box quantities per customer guidelines.
• Follow written and verbal directions.
• Fill out paperwork for each run.
• Measure and compare parts for accuracy.
• Read blueprints.
• Prepare parts for shipping and remove scrap.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
