Job summary

MasTec Utility Services seeks a Gas Skilled Laborer/Groundman to support the crew in installing and repairing gas lines. Gather materials for the day, perform field tasks, and maintain safety and productivity while working outdoors in demanding conditions.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and at least 1 year of gas utility construction experience; 2+ years preferred. Physical work, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and varying weather are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year of gas utility construction experience is required.
• 2+ years of gas utility construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Distribute material at the job site.
• Hand locate existing utilities.
• Hand grade landscape areas.
• Safely operate equipment such as backhoe, skid steer loader, directional drill, trencher, paving machine.
• Assist with gas mains trenching and installation as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
