Job summary

R.B. Hinkle is seeking a Foreman Gas to oversee daily field operations on gas utility projects. You will supervise crews, interpret blueprints, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence in outdoor environments across Maryland. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

The role requires at least 5 years in natural gas construction with 2+ years in leadership, the ability to manage heavy equipment, and a commitment to DOT safety standards. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in natural gas distribution construction and maintenance.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and construction drawings.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record; CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise crews in installation, maintenance, and repair of gas pipelines.
• Plan, schedule, and assign daily tasks to crews.
• Interpret blueprints and work orders for accurate execution.
• Lead daily safety meetings and enforce safety regulations.
• Monitor progress, ensure quality and compliance with standards.
• Operate or oversee heavy equipment usage and safety.
• Maintain logs, reports, and material/equipment orders.
