Job summary

Summit Utilities, Inc. in Pine Bluff, AR seeks a Construction & Maintenance Technician I (SGL3). You will perform field operations including installation, repair, and maintenance of natural gas distribution systems, with duties spanning from pipe work to emergency response.

The role requires outdoor work daily, the ability to respond to emergencies, and compliance with DOT safety and drug-testing policies. A valid driver’s license is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Respond to emergencies and work flexible hours as needed.
• DOL DOT safety policies apply to duties and drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, or replace steel and plastic pipe.
• Provide First Responder assistance in emergencies.
• Load and unload equipment, tools, and supplies from truck.
• Use hand and power tools; operate vehicles and heavy equipment as needed.
• Enter/exit vehicles safely and perform daily physical tasks.
• Maintain required PPE and participate in random drug testing programs.
