Job summary

housleygroup seeks a Construction Supervisor with extensive natural gas experience for the Austin area. The candidate will manage gas utility projects, lead teams, and ensure safe, compliant execution of pipeline construction and maintenance.

Responsibilities include planning, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and coordination with vendors, with a focus on safety and quality in gas infrastructure work.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in natural gas construction management.
• In-depth knowledge of gas utility infrastructure (pipeline construction, regulation, metering).
• Proven experience budgeting, scheduling, resource management.
• Strong safety protocol knowledge for underground utilities and gas systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specs.
• Familiarity with OSHA/EPA standards and local codes.
• PM certifications (PMP) or safety training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee natural gas pipeline construction projects including installation and repair of underground utilities, regulators, and metering stations.
• Lead and supervise construction teams and vendors to meet safety, quality, and budget targets.
• Develop detailed project plans with schedules, costs, resources and risk management.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and environmental requirements.
• Oversee site inspections, soil/trench safety, and quality control processes.
• Review subcontractor work and provide regular progress updates to stakeholders.
