Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in gas utility construction, with at least 2 years in supervision.
• Knowledge of gas distribution systems and maintenance techniques.
• Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, PHMSA safety regulations and best practices.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret project plans.

Responsibilities

• Supervise crews performing gas main and service line installation, repair, and maintenance.
• Plan, schedule, and assign daily tasks to crew members, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
• Conduct daily safety briefings and enforce safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
• Interpret blueprints and project plans to ensure accurate execution of work.
• Operate and oversee heavy construction equipment used in gas utility work.
• Maintain accurate daily reports on progress, labor hours, equipment usage, and materials.
• Train and mentor crew members, fostering a safety-conscious team.
• Manage material inventory and order supplies to prevent delays.
• Respond to emergencies and assist with gas leak troubleshooting.
