Job summary

InterCon Construction is seeking a Construction Laborer to assist with gas mains and fiber optic installation across Wisconsin. Work is outdoors, requiring physical effort and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities include locating utilities, signaling equipment, loading materials, and assembling piping systems with attention to detail. There is travel across Wisconsin; CDL-A is preferred but not mandatory for all roles.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver's License Class A CDL required.
• Must be willing to travel throughout Wisconsin.
• Must be able to bend/kneel/stand/walk for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift/push/pull 50 pounds regularly.
• Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience installing gas mains and fiber optic cables preferred.
• Education in Gas and Utilities Construction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work site to locate utilities and eliminate hazards.
• Signal operators to help facilitate movement or alignment of equipment.
• Load, unload and transport construction materials and tools.
• Configure pipe routes and assemble gas piping and equipment.
• Follow safety standards during trench work and sealing joints.
• Ensure pipes are fitted and aligned using grade rods or transit levels.
• Cover pipes or cable with dirt or other material.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
