Job summary

Atmos Energy is seeking a field-service professional in the Lafayette area to respond to customer service requests, perform connections and disconnections as qualified, and ensure customer satisfaction with the completed work.

The role involves installing and operating Wireless Meter Reading equipment, maintaining accurate records for regulatory compliance, and participating in safety trainings and on-call duties as required.

Qualifications

• Requires a general educational knowledge normally acquired through a high school diploma or a GED.
• Requires valid driver's license in accordance with Company standards.
• Operator Qualifications (OQ) and OJT specific to Service Learning Path; maintain position OQs and related training.
• Must complete safety training and comply with DOT/PHMSA screenings and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Responds to customer requests for service including connections and disconnections as operator qualified.
• Informs customer of needed repairs and ensures customer satisfaction with work performed.
• Installs, programs, and operates Wireless Meter Reading (WMR) equipment as necessary.
• Completes and maintains accurate records and reports to comply with Company and regulatory requirements.
• May hold stand-by duty, work shifts, holidays, weekends, emergency call outs, and extended hours as needed.
