Job summary

National Fuel Gas Company is seeking a Gas Storage Engineer / Geologist at our Williamsville, NY headquarters. The role focuses on managing the Storage Integrity Management Plan (STIMP), data analysis, and coordination with field operations to ensure regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.

The position requires a BS in Geology or Engineering and at least three years of experience in gas storage or related fields, with strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Geology or Engineering required.
• Knowledge of basic open-hole and cased-hole log analysis.
• Experience supporting the continued development, execution, and documentation of integrity management plans.
• A minimum of three years of experience in gas storage or exploration and production.

Responsibilities

• Support management of the Storage Integrity Management Plan (STIMP) and valve replacement program at various well sites.
• Collect, review, and analyze data streams for completeness, trends, and compliance.
• Contribute to development, execution, and documentation of STIMP to ensure regulatory compliance and drive continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with Gas Storage department and field Operations personnel in implementation of integrity programs.
• Perform other scheduled duties and special projects as assigned.

• Knowledge of basic open-hole and cased-hole log analysis.
• Experience supporting the continued development, execution, and documentation of integrity management plans.
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in gas storage or exploration and production.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience working with gas wells.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The base salary range for this position is $75,000 – $108,000

This job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of pay that National Fuel believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job. The specific base pay offered to a successful applicant will be based primarily on relevant professional experience. Other components that may be considered include: individual qualifications, licensures, industry specific experience, education and market demands for specialized skills. The pay range is subject to change at any time based on various internal and external factors. Exempt positions will also be eligible for an Annual Cash Bonus Plan.
