Job summary

Clearwater Travel Plaza in Minnesota seeks a Gas Station / Fuel Center Supervisor to oversee employees, ensure fast, friendly service, and uphold CTP’s Obvious Choice standards in products and service.

You will train and develop staff, lead shift supervision including scheduling and breaks, maintain POS knowledge and cash handling, manage inventory with vendors, and enforce safety and company policies to drive profitability. Starting pay is $52,000/year.

Qualifications

• Previous leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to supervise shifts and schedule staff.
• Familiarity with cash handling and balancing tills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee department services including convenience store, Minnesota Reflections, gaming, fuel center, and custodial duties.
• Ensure fast, friendly service at all times.
• Delegate tasks and ensure follow-through.
• Maintain knowledge of POS/register systems and balancing tills.
• Supervise daily shifts: scheduling, breaks, customer service, and flow.
• Manage inventory levels and ordering with vendors.
• Motivate employees; lead by example; train and discipline as needed.

Job Description

Position: Gas Station / Fuel Center Supervisor

Description: Supervise employees and handle situations pertaining to both staff and customers. Ensure the best customer service in an effective and timely manner. To enforce and uphold CTP’s Obvious Choice standards in both products and service. To train and nurture employees to help them become the best they can and to foster an environment of fun and outstanding attitudes. To ensure company standards are met and profitability goals are attained. Previous leadership experience preferred. Starting pay is $52,000/year.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Possess a thorough knowledge of department services, including the convenience store, Minnesota Reflections, Voyageur Video games, fuel center, and general custodial responsibilities
• Ensure fast, friendly service is delivered at all times
• Must be able to take and give delegation and ensure follow through on both.
• Maintain a strong working knowledge of the various computer/register systems and accounting methods for balancing tills
• Handle daily supervision of shifts including scheduling, breaks, customer service, and operational flow
• Develop and maintain product selection and inventory levels through ordering, counting inventory, communicating with vendors, etc.
• Find creative and fun ways to motivate employees. Lead by example and demonstrate positive attitudes and professionalism. Train and develop employees. When necessary, take appropriate disciplinary action to ensure CTP’s standards and policies are upheld and enforced consistently
• Understand, utilize, and teach Clearwater Travel Plaza’s theories of Business Operations
• Comply with all safety rules, company policies, and scheduling requirements
