Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Stocking Clerk to ensure shelves are fully stocked and ready for customers. You will move products from pallets to shelves, manage back-stock, and keep the store orderly and inviting. You’ll interact with customers, support leadership, and help prepare the store during overnight shifts.

This entry-level position emphasizes teamwork, efficiency, and reliable attendance in a fast-paced retail environment at Meijer locations.

Qualifications

• Entry level team member role focusing on customer service, product knowledge and merchandising in a retail setting.
• Stock shelves with a variety of grocery products and maintain back-stock as needed.
• Comfort with basic technology and following store processes.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products.
• Move product from pallets or carts to the correct shelf locations.
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in designated back-room areas.
• Work closely with leadership to ensure assigned areas are completed on time.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers when needed.
• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
