Job summary

Meijer in Grand Rapids is seeking an entry-level Stocking Clerk to deliver exceptional customer service while stocking shelves and supporting merchandising.

You will work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day, learn basic technology, follow procedures, and collaborate with the team to keep aisles organized and safe.

Qualifications

• Entry-level role in retail requiring basic product knowledge and service.
• Must be able to follow store procedures and work as part of a team.
• May require handling light to moderate lifting and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

As a Stocking Clerk, you play a critical role in keeping our store running smoothly. Your work ensures shelves are fully stocked for our customers to provide an exceptional shopping experience.

You’ll:

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products

• Move product from pallets or carts to the correct shelf locations efficiently and accurately

• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in designated back‑room areas

• Work closely with leadership to ensure assigned areas are completed on time

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers when needed

• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead

• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly

What You Bring

• You’re comfortable learning and using basic technology

• Experience with pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus
