Job summary

NV5 is seeking a Senior Engineer – Gas Services in California to lead and contribute to gas facilities, pipelines, and related projects. You will design, review and coordinate multi-discipline aspects and mentor junior staff.

The role requires strong communication, technical expertise, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards; NV5 emphasizes project leadership and client interaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• P.E. license.
• 5+ years of pipeline engineering experience.
• Field engineering experience preferred.
• Knowledge of gas pipeline design standards.

Responsibilities

• Work in teams on delivery of gas facilities, distribution and transmission lines and liquid facilities and lines; develop technical project documentation.
• Perform engineering and design.
• Design civil and mechanical elements of facilities.
• Coordinate materials and equipment specifications.
• Perform hydraulics and pipe-stress calculations.
• Interpret and apply applicable requirements.
• Support integrity management programs and integrity assessments.
• Participate in client interactions and project leadership.
