The starting pay for this position is $16.50/hr. for new technicians, up to $29/hr. for those with substantial prior experience. New technicians will be moved to $18/hr. once fully qualified and working independently in the field, with scheduled pay increases to $24.25/hr. within 18-24 months.

Currently, RECONN is seeking Fusion Inspection Technicians for the New York City Area/Westchester County (Manhattan, Queens, Bronx, Westchester).

Responsibilities:

Our Fusion Inspection Technicians perform visual inspections of plastic gas pipe fusions and joints, collect GPS coordinates on gas pipe fusions and related equipment, gather tracking and traceability data on client gas assets, and report abnormal operating conditions. Accurate documentation of inspections and client assets encountered is essential.

This role requires working outdoors in all weather conditions and using company-provided tablets, smartphones, and GPS equipment to document records accurately.

Previous utility services experience is preferred but not necessary.

What We Need from You (Our Requirements):

• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions; outdoor experience preferred.
• Passing all relevant qualification and requalification exams.
• Ability to walk, bend, and lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders up to 10+ ft. (with or without accommodations).
• Availability to work overtime and weekends as required.
• Proficiency in using smartphones/tablets and data entry.
• Professional communication with company and client personnel.
• Pass a drug screening.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
