Job summary

Ameren Illinois is hiring for a gas service technician to respond to emergencies, install and maintain gas meters, and carry out gas piping work on customers' premises. The role requires willingness to work day shifts and be available for overtime and emergencies.

A valid CDL and respirator qualification are required, and candidates must reside within 25 miles of the operating area. CAST testing and state/federal licensing may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be able to obtain CDL and respirator qualified.
• Must reside within 25 miles of operating area.
• Must be willing to shift work and overtime.
• CAST test must be passed.

Responsibilities

• Respond to gas emergencies (leaks, CO, fire calls, etc.).
• Set and maintain residential and large commercial gas meter installations.
• Perform gas pipe work on customers' premises and work with gas appliances.
