Job summary

The Koch Energy Team is seeking a Natural Gas Scheduler to join our team in Houston, TX. You will collaborate with traders, analysts, and third-party operators to ensure timely delivery and optimize scheduling decisions across the U.S. and Canada.

We value experience in gas scheduling, energy markets, and building strong customer relationships, with on-call responsibilities to support round-the-clock operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in scheduling, logistics, supply chain, market analysis or finance/accounting (academic or professional).
• Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, time‑sensitive environment.
• Willing and able to participate in an on-call rotation and provide support during evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• 2+ years of natural gas scheduling experience.
• Experience in an Energy or Commodity based business.
• Experience with trade capture and risk management systems.
• Experience with building relationships to become the preferred partner of customers.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with traders, analysts, and other stakeholders to develop and execute natural gas scheduling strategies that align with our trading objectives.
• Partner with third-party pipeline operators, storage providers, and transportation companies to ensure the timely and reliable delivery of natural gas.
• Monitor and analyze market conditions, pipeline capacities, storage inventory levels, and transportation rates to optimize scheduling decisions and maximize profitability.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of transportation contracts, nominations, confirmations, and scheduling activities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve scheduling discrepancies, operational issues, and contract disputes.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and provide support during nights, weekends, holidays, and other non‑business hours as required to meet operational needs.
