Job summary

W&T Offshore Inc. in Houston seeks a Gas Scheduler to manage logistics and administration of natural gas sales volumes and other hydrocarbons. In-office role with a Monday–Thursday 9-hour schedule and Fridays 4 hours.

The position is salaried (Exempt) with responsibility for flow nominations, production monitoring, and coordinating commercial optimization. Ideal candidates have a 0–2 year background and a relevant bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of industry experience in an equivalent role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Marketing, or Engineering - preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with an ability to prioritize and manage projects.
• Interest in energy business, operations, and marketing.
• General PC ability/Excel skills required.

Responsibilities

• Flow nominations on oil and gas product pipelines, as assigned.
• Monitors daily production for assigned properties including operated and non operated fields.
• Monitors pipeline outage, operational flow orders and critical notices to minimize impacts and communicate actions to stakeholders.
• Calculates daily/monthly production sales availabilities and recommends base load and swing sales percentages.
• Responsible for updating flow schematics for each property in their area of responsibility.
• Assigned back up scheduling duties for other properties to ensure company exposure is managed.
• Verifies accuracy of sales confirmations and manages product imbalance positions.
• Participates in due diligence review of acquisitions and reviews related contracts as needed.
