Job summary

Enbridge Inc. in Akron, Ohio is seeking a Gas Project Analyst to support pipeline project coordination, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder engagement within the Utilities & Power Operations team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or related construction or operational training and/or experience.
  • Foundational knowledge of pipeline construction and permitting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities and basic math skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in analyzing project scope, coordinating and obtaining construction-related permits to avoid delays, and monitor permit-related activities for compliance and deadlines.
  • Support coordination with contractors, permitting authorities, government agencies, and other parties; maintain public relations and coordinate with inspectors and other utility companies.
  • Assist in external groups coordination, including landowner rights-of-access and interactions with public officials.
  • Assist in material management of pipeline replacement projects, coordinating with Supply Chain and Engineering.
  • Assist in tracking Right-of-Way restoration, punch lists, and project closeouts; help prepare change orders or material orders.

At Enbridge, we are committed to delivering safe, reliable energy while driving financial excellence and innovation. We are seeking a Gas Project Analyst to join our Utilities & Power Operations team in Akron, Ohio.

In this role, you will support the department's administration and act as a liaison with external parties. You will help plan and coordinate work for installing and maintaining pipelines and related facilities. Your contributions will be essential to keeping critical energy infrastructure moving forward safely and on schedule.

What You Will Do
  • Assist in analyzing project scope, coordinating and obtaining construction-related permits in a timely manner to avoid project delays, and monitor permit-related activities for compliance and adherence to deadlines.
  • Support coordination and liaison efforts with contractors, permitting authorities, government agencies, and other internal and external parties; assist in maintaining public relations efforts and coordinate with DOT inspectors, contractors, vendors, suppliers, and other utility companies.
  • Assist in coordination involving external groups, including rights-of-access with landowners, other outside agencies, customers, and public officials.
  • Assist in material management of pipeline replacement projects, coordinating with Supply Chain, Engineering, and other associated departments.
  • Assist in tracking the schedule of Right-of-Way restoration, punch list items, and project closeouts; support preparation and submittal of change orders or material orders, and may assist in preparing construction contract documents.
Who You Are
  • Bachelor's degree or related construction or operational training and/or experience.
  • 0-2 years of related experience.
  • For candidates who do not possess a university degree, an additional 3-years of related experience is required (total of 3+ years).
  • Proficient with computers and standard software applications.
  • Basic understanding of pipeline and facility construction, permitting processes, and applicable regulations, standards, and specifications.
  • Knowledge of company safety policies, basic math skills, and strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to negotiate with external collaborators and interpret drawings, plans, agreements, codes, standards, and other project documents.
Physical Requirements

include but are not limited to: Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Mental Requirements

(Both Field & Office) include but are not limited to: Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.

Working Conditions

Office environment. Frequent travel (~25-30%) within the assigned region. Ability to travel and work throughout the United States. A valid driver's license and maintenance of a responsible driving record is required, which will be validated before hire.

Salary

Ranges from $55,000 - $80,000 USD for U.S. locations based upon candidate’s experience, skills, and internal equity. Applicable compensation policies and guidelines apply to internal candidates.
