Job summary

Enterprise Products is seeking a Plant Operator to manage day-to-day operations of natural gas amine treating plants, compressors, and pipelines in Carlsbad/Jal, NM. Duties include operating equipment, monitoring SCADA, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic instrument and control understanding, and the ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift on site.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Technical cert or related training preferred.
• Valid driver's license with clean record is required.
• Respiratory protection program may be required.
• Knowledge of plant operation and control systems is required.
• Basic math skills (percentages, ratios) are needed.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
• Ability to multitask in potentially hazardous environments.

Responsibilities

• Operate natural gas plant, compression, and pipeline equipment.
• Start-up/shutdown plant equipment and adjust controls.
• Visually inspect equipment and perform routine maintenance.
• Monitor and react to process alarms and safety signals.
• Maintain site cleanliness and perform minor repairs.
• Read gauges, record operating conditions, and report anomalies.
• Coordinate with supervision and contract labor for maintenance.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and proper documentation.
