Job summary

Onward Energy is seeking an experienced Operations & Maintenance Manager to lead day-to-day plant operations at Goal Line in Escondido, CA. You will partner with the Plant Manager to drive safety, reliability, and efficiency while upholding regulatory and environmental standards.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, 7+ years in power generation, and strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills to manage maintenance programs, budgets, and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
7+ years' experience in power generation; exceptional work or military experience may substitute for the degree.
Second-line supervisory experience preferred.
Knowledge of operation and maintenance of gas steam turbines and electrical generators.
Excellent writing and presentation skills; persuasive verbal communication.

Responsibilities

Provide oversight of mission-critical programs and processes such as performance management and outage management.
Ensure high plant reliability and overall cost competitiveness while upholding safety and environmental commitments.
Support and emphasize safety and environmental programs and ensure regulatory compliance.
Ensure the safety of all employees through elimination of injuries.
Assist in development and administration of the O&M and Capital budgets.
Prepare, maintain and provide reports and respond to plant trips.
