Job summary

Miller Pipeline is seeking hardworking Laborers to join our gas distribution pipeline crews. You will assist in repair, maintenance, construction, installation, and fusion of plastic pipe, and reconditioning of gas pipelines.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, 1 year of outdoor labor experience, a strong work ethic, and the ability to pass a DOT physical and testing. Travel within the local area is common.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or 2+ years’ experience in lieu of education.
• 1 year of outdoor work or manual labor experience required.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Clean driving record and a DOT physical or ability to obtain one upon employment.

Responsibilities

• Lift tools, objects and equipment of varying weight.
• Compress soil and asphalt.
• Shovel material and patch asphalt mix.
• Operate vehicles used for hauling.
• Assist in demolition, take-up and reconditioning of pipe.
• Break asphalt or concrete with a jackhammer.
• Repair backfilled trench areas with grass seed or asphalt.
• Travel frequently within the area for work assignments.
