Job summary

Miller Pipeline is seeking laborers to support gas distribution pipeline crews in Lancaster County, PA. Responsibilities include assisting in repair, maintenance, construction, installation, and fusion of plastic pipe, and reconditioning gas distribution pipelines.

Required qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, 1 year of outdoor work, a clean driving record, and the ability to obtain a DOT physical; 2+ years’ experience can substitute education, with DOT testing completed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 2+ years’ experience may substitute for education.
• 1 year of outdoor work or manual labor experience required.
• Clean driving record and ability to obtain a DOT physical.
• Must pass computer-based testing specific to the local Customer’s operator qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Properly lift tools, objects and equipment of varying weight.
• Compress soil and asphalt.
• Shovel material, soil and cold patch asphalt mix.
• Operate vehicles used for hauling.
• Assist in the demolition, take-up and reconditioning of old pipe.
• Score and break asphalt or concrete with a jackhammer.
• Repair backfilled trench areas with grass seed or asphalt.
• Travel frequently within the area for work assignments.
